THE LASER FIRING CHAMBER GAUGE OF THE RIFLED ARTILLERY GUNS (LCG)
LCG is intended to measure the firing chamber length of the rifled artillery guns to determine the category of the barrel and shells initial speed fall due to the wear of its channel (extension of the charging chamber).
The gauge estimates:
– determine the category of the rifled barrel of artillery guns;
– shells initial speed fall;
Main technical characteristics:
– measurement limits are – 270 … 3000 mm;
– an average measurement in accuracy is – 0.5 mm;
Artillery guns that use:
– 122-mm self-propelled howitzer 2S1 “Hvozdyka”;
– 152-mm self-propelled howitzer 2S3М “Akatsiya”;
– 152-mm self-propelled gun 2S5 “Hiatsynt-S”
– 152-mm self-propelled howitzer 2S19 “Msta-S”;
– 203-mm self-propelled gun 2S7 (2S7М) “Pion” (“Malka”).
– 122-mm howitzer D-30 (2А18), D-30А (2А18М);
– 152-mm howitzer D-20;
– 152-mm gun 2S5 “Hiatsynt-B”;
– 152-mm howitzer 2А65 “Msta-B”;
The LCG can use with artillery systems of NATO countries Army Forces.
The gauge includes:
– a portable laser range finder;
– a set of directing discs with a flange (for various artillery guns);
– a set of measuring rings;
– a bar with a thrust washer;
– a bar extension;
– a forward assist assembly.
